Latest caricatures

Here's a couple of caricatures I've drawn from the past few nights.

Nothing against kids, but sometimes I like the opportunity to draw grown-ups for a change.

Hey Kenny, How long does it take you to complete one of these Live ones? I mean you have a lot of detail and great colour. Does the sitter sit the whole time or just until you get their likeness and then come back when you've finished colouring etc.

At the most, a color caricature takes no more than 15 minutes. I've been clocked at 9-10 minutes if I'm really on a roll.

Over the years I've trained myself to get faster and faster. For example, I NEVER use a pencil on live caricatures. I've streamlined my palette and markers so I'm able to access them quickly. I use one brush so I don't have to pick through different ones and waste time.

The subject sits with me during the entire picture. Usually between myself and the crowd watching, we're able to keep things entertaining, and time flies by!
